WCHAM Joins CIFTIS Beijing Event
As the prestigious 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) grandly opens under the global gaze, the World Chambers of Commerce Platform, a pivotal representative of the international business community, has proudly accepted the invitation and actively participated in this national, international, and comprehensive trade fair dedicated to services. Concurrently, WCHAM has enthusiastically invited diplomatic envoys, overseas chambers of commerce, and foreign enterprises to converge at this prestigious event, jointly witnessing and fostering the prosperity and development of global services trade.
CIFTIS, one of China’s three major exhibition platforms for opening up, has captivated the participation of 85 countries and international organizations worldwide with its theme of “Global Services, Mutual Benefits, and Shared Prosperity.” This year, from September 12th to 16th, CIFTIS was held with grandeur at the China National Convention Center and Shougang Park in Beijing, featuring France as the Guest of Honor Country and Sichuan and Hainan provinces making their debut as Guest of Honor Provinces, adding even more international flair and local charm to the exhibition.
As a bridge connecting the global business world, WCHAM’s participation showcased not only its achievements and experiences in promoting international services trade exchanges and cooperation but also facilitated efficient and convenient communication platforms for exhibitors and buyers through organizing multiple business matching activities. During CIFTIS, WCHAM leveraged its international influence to actively invite and host diplomatic envoys from various countries to attend the Second International Public Procurement Conference held concurrently. International guests attended the conference, including the Chairman of the World Trade Point Federation, the Director of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Trade Point Federation, the Creative Economy Officer of UNCTAD, the Chairman of the World Chamber of Commerce Platform, a Senior Trade Policy Officer from the International Trade Centre, the Secretary-General of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, a Commercial Officer from the Embassy of Spain in China, representatives from NRW.Global Business (Germany), Heliocentris Energy Solutions AG (Germany), the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Timor-Leste, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of Timor-Leste, the Beijing-Kathmandu Economic and Trade Development Service Center, a Counselor from the Embassy of Mongolia in China, a Trade and Investment Representative from the Government of Victoria, Australia, and the Deputy Secretary-General of the Federation of Egyptian and African Chambers of Commerce.Foreign guests, while touring the exhibition and attending conferences, highly praised CIFTIS’s scale, influence, and degree of internationalization, expressing their eagerness to strengthen services trade cooperation with China and jointly propel the thriving development of global services trade.
