In the context of increasing global economic integration, economic and trade cooperation between China and Spain has been growing stronger. On July 25, 2024, a significant meeting took place in Oviedo between Mr. Orencio Grela, leader of the World Chamber of Commerce Platform, and Mr. José Manuel Ferreira, Vice President, and Mr. Fernando Villabella, Secretary General of the Oviedo Chamber of Commerce. The meeting focused on deepening Sino-Spanish economic cooperation and jointly promoting economic development in both countries.

During the meeting, Wcham utilized their extensive resources and profound experience in international markets to engage in detailed discussions with the senior officials of the Oviedo Chamber of Commerce. The discussions focused on key issues such as the investment climate in the Asturias region, industry specializations, and future development plans. Both parties concurred that by strengthening their partnership, they could effectively leverage their respective advantages to attract more high-quality international investment projects, thereby invigorating the economic development of the region. Meanwhile, the Oviedo Chamber of Commerce will collaborate with the Wcham to actively promote Spanish companies investing and doing business in China, sharing cooperative opportunities.
